Grain yields are higher than last year’s in all regions of the country, BelTA learned from the press service of the Agriculture and Food Ministry of Belarus.
"As of 15 July, grain and leguminous crops (excluding corn, buckwheat, and millet) have been harvested from 7% of the areas, or 142,000 hectares out of the planned 2,002,000 hectares. A total of 612,000 tonnes of grain have been threshed, with an average yield of 42.9 centners per hectare. This is 4.7 centners per hectare higher than in the same period of last year. Higher yields than last year's are seen in all regions,” the press service said.
