The council’s agenda covers a range of topics, including the Republic of Tajikistan’s chairmanship in the CIS in 2025, the work of the CIS Human Rights Commission, and the awarding of the Chingiz Aitmatov Prize. The parliamentary leaders will also deliberate on the IPA’s work plan for 2026 and review the results of key events held this year. These events include the 11th edition of the Nevsky International Ecological Congress; the tenth edition of the Children of the Commonwealth international cultural and educational forum, hosted for the first time in Belarus; the second international forum “Sustainable Development of Mountain Territories”; and the Travel Hub Commonwealth tourism forum, both held in Russia’s Republic of Dagestan. The council will also receive briefings on the second international conference “Russian Language as a Basis for Integration Dialogue in the CIS” and the international scientific and educational congress “Intellectual Code of the Commonwealth”.
