Over 630,000 people get employment assistance in Belarus in five years

Over the past five years, more than 630,000 people have received employment assistance in Belarus, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Economy Ministry.

A meeting of the permanent ministerial commission on state programs was held, chaired by Deputy Economy Minister Mariya Mazhinskaya. The event was attended by Economy Minister Yuri Chebotar, as well as representatives from the Information Ministry, the Labor and Social Security Ministry, the State Border Committee, and the State Customs Committee.

The agenda included reports on the implementation of the state programs for 2021-2025: Labor Market and Employment Promotion, Mass Media and Book Publishing, Emergency Management, and Infrastructure of Checkpoints on the State Border of the Republic of Belarus.

According to the deputy minister, the state actively invested in effective employment over the past five-year period. “Over the five years, more than 630,000 people received employment assistance. About 13,500 unemployed individuals underwent vocational training, retraining, and advanced training. Approximately 5,000 Belarusians received subsidies to start their own businesses, and more than 500 families were assisted in relocating to a new place of residence and work,” Mariya Mazhinskaya detailed.

Significant work has been carried out in implementing the state programs under review. For instance, in border infrastructure, the implementation of the relevant state program measures made it possible to reconstruct 13 road checkpoints, increasing their throughput capacity.

“Such investments strengthen Belarus’ transit potential and contribute to forming a favorable image of our country for tourists,” Mariya Mazhinskaya said.

21st June was fifth International Yoga Day observed across the world. The theme for Yoga Day 2019 was "Yoga for Climate Action”. On this day, which is dedicated to inner and outer well-being of human body, people across the world practice yoga in groups. The International Day of Yoga aims to raise awareness worldwide of the many benefits of practicing yoga, a physical, mental and spiritual practice.

Lieber Dietmar,
das ist wirklich ein Dudelsack :) In Belarus wird es aber Dudá genannt. Eigentlich ist Duda ein belarussisches traditionelles Musikinstrument. Übrigens gibt es viele Arten und Formen von Dudelsack in verschiedenen Kulturen und Ländern von Südamerica bis Indien.
PS: das Lied ist Каляда На Балоце von Тутэйшая Шляхта. ;)

Вельмi падабаюцца перадачы на замежных мовах, якiя даюць магчымасць не толькi даведацца, што адбываецца ў Беларусi i за яе межамi, але ж i ўдасканалiць веды ангельскай, нямецкай, французскай моваў, праслухаўшы перадачы. Хацелася б даведацца, цi плануе радыёстанцыя вяшчанне на FM у Мiнску, бо ў заходнiх рэгiёнах Беларусi радыёстанцыя на FM працуе. У шматнацыянальным Мiнску жыве шмат замежных грамадзян, таксама прыязджаюць турысты, якiя б маглi даведацца пра тое, што аббываецца ў краiне i за яе межамi праз радыё Беларусь. На сёння ў Мiнску няма нiводнай англамоўнай цi iншамоўнай радыёстанцыi. З павагай, ваш слухач Сяргей.
