Economy ministry outlines prospects of robotization in Belarus

Belarusian First Deputy Economy Minister Ivan Vezhnovets spoke about the prospects of robotization in Belarus in an interview to the First News TV channel, BelTA has learned.
 
“Further development is impossible without robots. We understand this, which is why we have identified robotization as a priority in the social and economic development program for 2026-2030. This is not just about saving labor and replacing humans with robots, but also about completely changing the technological process. Robotization requires precision of products and components, and regularity of supplies. It changes approaches to industrial policy,” Ivan Vezhnovets emphasized.
 
Robotization forms a new production culture - clear algorithms for the supply of raw materials, technologies, and components. “On a robotic assembly line, everything is standardized - tolerances, configuration, production cycle. Therefore, we are simultaneously changing technological processes at enterprises and implementing lean production standards. Together with the State Committee for Standardization of Belarus (Gosstandart), we have introduced lean production certificates. They provide an overall effect for the country,” the first deputy minister stressed.
 
A lean production certificate involves procedures at the enterprise, such as reducing material intensity, analyzing technological operations, and organizing labor. A simple example is arranging a workspace so that an employee can reach tools and minimize movements. This is what is evaluated within the framework of lean production.
 
Globally, robotization shows promise in microelectronics, radio electronics, and automotive manufacturing. “In Belarus, based on experience, robots are effective where operations are standardized, repetitive, and mass-scale: welding, painting, high-precision work. We see prospects in mechanical engineering (we have some developments), certain areas of light industry, and machine tool construction,” Ivan Vezhnovets said.

21st June was fifth International Yoga Day observed across the world. The theme for Yoga Day 2019 was "Yoga for Climate Action”. On this day, which is dedicated to inner and outer well-being of human body, people across the world practice yoga in groups. The International Day of Yoga aims to raise awareness worldwide of the many benefits of practicing yoga, a physical, mental and spiritual practice.

Lieber Dietmar,
das ist wirklich ein Dudelsack :) In Belarus wird es aber Dudá genannt. Eigentlich ist Duda ein belarussisches traditionelles Musikinstrument. Übrigens gibt es viele Arten und Formen von Dudelsack in verschiedenen Kulturen und Ländern von Südamerica bis Indien.
PS: das Lied ist Каляда На Балоце von Тутэйшая Шляхта. ;)
