Belarus intends to double the contribution of tourism to its GDP, Head of the Belarus President Administration Dmitry Krutoi said during a meeting of the High-Level Group of the Council of Ministers of the Union State of Belarus and Russia on 4 December, BelTA has learned.
“Beyond economy and trade, we must actively advance regional cooperation in tourism. It is crucial for Belarus to join existing Russian programs to develop tourism infrastructure and to leverage preferential financing mechanisms for joint projects. Belarus has declared tourism one of the national priorities for the next five years, with the goal of doubling its contribution to GDP. Since cooperation with Russia in this sector is the most effective, we naturally rely on the support of our Russian partners,” Dmitry Krutoi stated.
Regional cooperation in Belarus-Russia trade and economic relations traditionally remains a priority. “The intensity of Belarus’ ties with Russian regions has not diminished, and this year's results are also very significant. In January-October 2025, our country was visited by 66 delegations led by heads of Russian regions or their deputies. Of these, 18 delegations at the governor level met with our president. Belarusian delegations made 88 visits to Russian regions,” the head of the President Administration noted.
Work continues on forming a unified scientific and technological space of the Union State. Among the priority areas is the creation of a joint spacecraft for high-resolution Earth imaging and an integrated system of remote Earth sensing.
“The Union State agenda also includes ensuring equal rights for citizens of Belarus and Russia. I very much hope that the new format of direct communication with citizens through personal receptions organized by staff of the Union State Permanent Committee in Moscow and its office in Minsk will allow us to identify and resolve issues in this area more quickly,” Dmitry Krutoi said.
Today’s agenda also included the topic of mobile communications. “We believe that a solution meeting the interests of our people will also be found,” he added.

Lieber Dietmar,
das ist wirklich ein Dudelsack :) In Belarus wird es aber Dudá genannt. Eigentlich ist Duda ein belarussisches traditionelles Musikinstrument. Übrigens gibt es viele Arten und Formen von Dudelsack in verschiedenen Kulturen und Ländern von Südamerica bis Indien.
PS: das Lied ist Каляда На Балоце von Тутэйшая Шляхта. ;)

Хацелася б даведацца, цi плануе радыёстанцыя вяшчанне на FM у Мiнску, бо ў заходнiх рэгiёнах Беларусi радыёстанцыя на FM працуе. У шматнацыянальным Мiнску жыве шмат замежных грамадзян, таксама прыязджаюць турысты, якiя б маглi даведацца пра тое, што аббываецца ў краiне i за яе межамi праз радыё Беларусь. На сёння ў Мiнску няма нiводнай англамоўнай цi iншамоўнай радыёстанцыi. З павагай, ваш слухач Сяргей.
