Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Vietnam Vladimir Borovikov spoke about Belarusian goods popular in Vietnam in an interview to the STV channel, BelTA has learned.
“Our countries enjoy friendly relations. They are multifaceted and based on a high level of trust, mutual respect and support. We have two pilot projects - MAZ Asia, and a project to set up an enterprise in Hung Yen Province to launch dairy production using Belarusian technologies and raw materials,” said Vladimir Borovikov.
Belarus can also offer Vietnamese partners an expanded line of tractors. “The Belarusian rice tractor BELARUS-541 with 65 horsepower has already been certified and tested in Vietnam,” he said.
Vietnam is showing interest in launching the production of fire-fighting equipment, protective clothing for fire-fighting services using Belarusian technologies.
As for food exports, Vladimir Borovikov said: “Full-fledged work on the access of our dairy products to Vietnam started in 2020 after Belarusian products went through all stages of approval and certification. Belarusian dairy products are a success in Vietnam. We are currently working on certification of our meat products - pork and beef. I believe that this year we will complete it and start exporting our meat products to the Vietnamese market.”
The ambassador also spoke about the trade amid Western sanctions. “At the moment I do not see any major obstacles to the further development of trade and economic relations between Belarus and Vietnam. All logistics schemes are being adjusted to the current conditions. We will use the ports of the Russian Federation. We may also use railway transport along the Trans-Siberian Railway with delivery via the People's Republic of China. Schemes using local currencies have already been tested as a means of payment for goods and services,” he said.
“This year we are opening the Consulate General of the Republic of Belarus in Ho Chi Minh City, which once again confirms the close contact and hopes for further strengthening of our relations in all the areas,” Vladimir Borovikov stressed.

Lieber Dietmar,
das ist wirklich ein Dudelsack :) In Belarus wird es aber Dudá genannt. Eigentlich ist Duda ein belarussisches traditionelles Musikinstrument. Übrigens gibt es viele Arten und Formen von Dudelsack in verschiedenen Kulturen und Ländern von Südamerica bis Indien.
PS: das Lied ist Каляда На Балоце von Тутэйшая Шляхта. ;)
