The state armament program for 2026-2030 and the state defense procurement program were discussed at a meeting with Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko, BelTA has learned.
The president noted that the government has prepared the drafts of the state armament program for 2026–2030 and the state defense procurement program. In this regard, he inquired about how the military assesses these documents in terms of strengthening the state's defense capability.
“How do these documents address the issues of equipping the armed forces with modern means, taking into account the current and emerging new military threats and also the results of the inspections that have been carried out? Have the proposals of other security agencies been taken into account? Which types of weaponry are given preference in the program to enhance the combat potential of the armed forces?” Aleksandr Lukashenko outlined the key questions.
