The trade between Belarus and Saint Petersburg can reach $2 billion by the end of 2014, Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mikhail Myatlikov told reporters. The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted a business meeting and a business match-making session for companies from Belarus and Saint Petersburg. About 60 businessmen came from Saint Petersburg to Belarus. The Belarusian business community was represented by about 110 delegates. “The interest in Saint Petersburg is traditionally high. In a year we will see how useful the meeting was. I think the concrete economic results of the meeting will translate in trade volumes,” Mikhail Myatlikov said. He informed that there are plans to expand the range of commodities traded between Belarus and Saint Petersburg and to implement joint projects.
    The Belarusian delegation will pay a return visit to Saint Petersburg in 2015.
