Lukashenko revisits Smolevichi to monitor winter rapeseed harvest

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko is visiting Smolevichi District to monitor the progress of the harvest campaign, BelTA reports.

The head of state had previously visited Smolevichi District in this harvest season. On 24 July, Aleksandr Lukashenko observed the agricultural enterprise Ozeritsky-Agro, where he inspected a winter barley field. The current inspection focuses on winter rapeseed fields covering significant areas.

During his previous trip, the president noted that this Minsk Oblast farm's more or less average agricultural conditions make it ideal for monitoring the harvest campaign's progress, reflecting the nationwide situation. If things are going well here, then the overall picture in Belarus should be favorable - slightly worse in the northern Vitebsk Oblast and somewhat better in the southern and western regions.
