Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko is set to visit Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ trademark) on 21 January, BelTA has learned.
The head of state will visit a new building of the bus plant. The project envisages the production of innovative passenger vehicles on the unified third-generation MAZ platform. The implementation of the project will make it possible to increase MAZ's passenger vehicle production capacity twofold, ensure the development of a new family of passenger vehicles using diesel fuel, natural gas, electric drive, and increase export potential.
In 2024, MAZ production (including machine kits) exceeded 13,100 vehicles, up 12% compared to 2023. Revenue from product sales increased by 16.6%. More than 67% of the total output was exported.
