An all-Belarusian shop has opened in Chongqing, China, BelTA quotes the Belarusian Embassy in Beijing. The shop sells Belarusian products which are in demand in China: milk, cheese, meat, vegetable oil, flour, chocolate, and alcoholic drinks. Belarus and Chongqing have been cooperating since 2011, when the two countries got linked by the Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe railway which opened up new opportunities for boosting trade and economic contacts. In 2016, Minsk Oblast and Chongqing signed a twinning agreement which, in particular, envisages the development of trade, economic, and humanitarian cooperation. The second shop is expected to open in Chengdu, the administrative center of Sichuan Province.
