Belarus president to visit Russia on 29-30 June

       Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko is expected to visit the Russian Federation on 29-30 June to participate in a session of the Supreme State Council of the Union State of Belarus and Russia and the fourth Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia, the press service of the Belarusian leader told media. 

Participants of the session of the Supreme State Council will discuss most important matters concerning Belarus-Russia cooperation. Results of Belarus-Russia trade and economic cooperation in 2016 will be high on the agenda. The sides will discuss ways to bolster cooperation in mechanical engineering and agribusiness. 

The fulfillment of the program of joint actions in the area of foreign policy will be discussed as well as the progress in carrying out priority guidelines and top-priority tasks concerning future development of the Union State of Belarus and Russia in the medium term. Other topical items will also be on the agenda.

Prior to the Supreme State Council session Alexander Lukashenko is expected to meet with President of Russia Vladimir Putin. During the meeting the sides will discuss the most important matters concerning Belarus-Russia bilateral cooperation and cooperation in integration associations. The two presidents will exchange opinions about matters on the international agenda. 

The two heads of state are expected to jointly take part in the plenary session of the fourth Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia on 30 June. The plenary session will be focused on vectors of integration-driven development of the regions of Belarus and Russia in the area of high technologies, innovations, and information society.
