Belarus, Austria agree on close cooperation in OSCE, CEI

      Belarus and Austria will cooperate closely in the OSCE and the CEI. The agreement was reached during a meeting between Alena Kupchyna, Belarus’ Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Alexander Marschik, Political Director at the Federal Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs of Austria, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports. The parties discussed a wide range of issues on the international and bilateral agenda, including cooperation in the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (Austria will chair the OSCE in 2017), promotion of the Belarus-EU dialogue, and regional security. The parties confirmed an agreement on close cooperation between the two countries during the Austria’s OSCE chairmanship and Belarus’ Presidency in the Central European initiative in 2017,” the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
