Minerals from Ignacy Domeyko’s collection to go on display in Belarus

         Archive documents, letters and minerals of Ignacy Domeyko from the holdings of the Mineralogy Museum of Ecole Nationale Superieure des Mines de Paris (MINES ParisTech) will be displayed in Belarus, the press service of the Belarusian Embassy in France told media.
          Ambassador of Belarus to France, Permanent Representative of Belarus to UNESCO Pavel Latushko visited MINES ParisTech and its museum to study the archive records about Ignacy Domeyko, his personal letters and the minerals that he donated to MINES ParisTech. The diplomat got acquainted with the mineral Domeykite named in honor of the Belarusian-born geologist and mineralogist. “An agreement was reached to organize an exhibition of archive documents, personal letters and minerals of Ignacy Domeyko in Belarus,” the press service said.
