Leaders of European countries praise Belarus’ role in the organization of the talks on Ukraine. This idea is conveyed in the Independence Day greetings which Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko still receives from foreign leaders, we learned from the press service of the Belarusian head of state.

Leaders of a number of European countries praised the role of Belarus in the organization of the talks on the crisis in Ukraine in their letters of greetings. In particular, President of Germany Joachim Gauck stressed that Belarus’ readiness to support joint European efforts to maintain security and peace on the continent deserves appreciation.

The Belarusian head of state receives letters of greetings from heads of state, foreign political and social activists. Alexander Lukashenko received Independence Day greetings from presidents of Algeria, Greece, Italy, Laos, Cote d’Ivoire, Romania, Syria, Turkey, France, Ecuador, kings of Jordan, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, the Sultan of Oman, the Emir of Qatar.
