Vitebsk region of Belarus and Slovak Republic to advance direct contacts

Direct contacts between companies from Vitebsk region of Belarus and the Slovak Republic will be high on the agenda of the international business forum, Innovations – The Path Towards Successful Integration, which will be held in Vitebsk on 8-10 July, BelTA quotes Konstantin Cherny, deputy head of the economy committee at the Vitebsk region Executive Committee.

The event is intended to intensify cooperation between Belarus and Slovakia. "The forum is aimed at establishing ties between specific economic entities, which will work towards specific projects," said Konstantin Cherny. Talking about the interest of the parties in the development of practical relations, he noted that they may work together in the processing of any raw material, be it flax, rapeseed, meat and milk, and manufacture products with high added value rather than trade in intermediate products.

The initiative to organize the forum was put forward by Honorary Consul of Slovakia in Belarus Alexei Sychev.
