Polotsk, Novgorod exchange museum expositions

     The National Polotsk History and Culture Museum Reserve and the Novgorod State United Museum Reserve have exchanged expositions.
     The Russian museum has brought to Polotsk the Alexander Nevsky exposition. It features the archaeological finds - battleaxes, swords, maces, arrows, sabers and helmets, chain armor, maps, plans of the heroic battles against the Germans and the Swedes in the 13th century.
     The expo has opened at the Art Gallery. Menwhile Novgorod is hosting an exhibition of artworks from the Polotsk Museum Reserve which displays the works of the Belarusian artists of the late 20th-early 21st centuries. The exposition is a kind of panoramic review of the creative quest taking place in the country. It features painting, graphic arts, sculpture. Among the participants of the expo are honored art figures of Belarus and artists.
      According to Larisa Lysenko, the main principle of the exposition is to demonstrate a particular cultural period in the Belarusian art.
