Over its 19 years the festival has grown big. This year Listapad will be covered by nearly 200 reporters from Belarus and abroad.
The forum will kick off with a red carpet ahead Sergei Loznitsa’s In the Fog screening. The picture will be shown simultaneously in two cinema houses: Oktyabr and the Small Hall of the Palace of the Republic. Sergei Loznitsa is known to the Minsk audience with his film My Joy which received the Listapad Grand Prix in 2010. His picture In the Fog premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in spring 2012 and received FIPRESCI award.
The jury of the main feature films in competition at the Minsk International Film Festival Listapad-2012 will be led by Andrei Zvyagintsev. Belarusian documentary producer Galina Adamovich will chair the jury of nonfiction films. American producer Christine Walker will head the jury of the international competition of feature films "Youth on the March".
The festival will also include out-of-competition programs, retrospectives and meetings.
