Belarus president goes to Kazakhstan on working visit


       Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko went to Kazakhstan on a working visit.
          While in Kazakhstan the Belarusian head of state is expected to meet with his Kazakhstani counterpart. The two heads of state will discuss topical items on the bilateral agenda. During the visit Alexander Lukashenko is expected to take part in a trilateral meeting of the presidents of Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Russia. The presidents will discuss current trade and economic challenges in the operation of the Eurasian Economic Union. The presidents are also expected to discuss several items on the international agenda that concern interests of the three countries.
Trade turnover between our countries last year approached 1 billion USD, says Belarusian Ambassador Anatol Nichkasau:

      “Kazakhstan’s economy is now aimed at establishment of new enterprises, and launch of new products within Belarus-Russia-Kazakhstan union may become a very influential factor.
That is what we have to take into account as we try to develop plans for future economic cooperation with Kazakhstan.
        Traditionally, we have had joint projects in heavy engineering, automobile industry. At the same time, we have discovered fresh opportunities in such spheres as space exploration, power engineering, science- and technology-intensive enterprises.”
