The Belarusian national football team began their preparation for the 2014 World Cup qualification matches against Spain and Georgia

       On 8 October the Belarusian national football team began their preparation for the next 2014 World Cup qualification matches against Spain and Georgia. It will be difficult to win the European and world champions but Belarus will try their best and are not going to sit back, head coach of the Belarusian national football team Georgy Kondratyev told media.
       The head coach noted that no team in the world has yet found the way to resist the Spanish brilliant attacking football. He underscored, however, that any Spain’s opponent should be more determined and should not give away ball possession. The Belarusian supporters will accept the defeat against Spain only if Belarus produce their best at home and play their heart out.
       Georgy Kondratyev praised great play by FC Barcelona and FC Real Madrid’s footballers as these two clubs met over the weekend in La Liga, the Spanish national football championship.
The Belarusian head coach underscored that many players in the Spanish national team are contracted to these two top clubs. Georgy Kondratyev added that Spain will not underestimate Belarus as they still are in desperate need for more points in Group I where a tight contest for the first place is expected.
