       The Horizont holding company is going to construct new factories in the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park, Director General of the Horizont holding company Yuri Predko told the Economy of Belarus Magazine.
In 2012 the company’s capacity to produce TV sets has doubled to reach about 800,000 pieces per year. In H1 2012, the production growth rate of the company in comparable prices was 206.5% as against the same period last year, the export rose more than two times, while the export to output ratio reached 72.5%.
      “However, now it is not enough for efficient operation of the holding company amid the tough competition. We have calculated that we need to manufacture about 3 million TV sets per year for sustainable expansion. This will require about 50,000 square meters of premises. Therefore, Horizont plans to construct new modern facilities to produce plastic and metal parts and boards and assembly factories. Those will not be shop floors, but full-bodied factories affiliated with the holding company,” Yuri Predko said.
      The new production facilities will be located in the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park that will be built in Smolevichi District.
