Belarusian Greco-Roman wrestlers performed well at a representative international tournament in Poland's Gdansk.

        Winning six awards in various nominations, they took Team Belarus to first place in the overall standings.
        Belarusian athlete Iosif Chugoshvili took gold in the heavyweight category up to 130 kg. In one of the semifinal bouts Chugoshvili confronted his teammate Kirill Gryshchenko. The latter was defeated, but eventually went on to win bronze medal, defeating German wrestler Edward Popp in the small final.
       Silver went to Belarusian Sosunovsky Victor (80 kg). Also at the wrestling tournament in Gdansk Belarusians won three bronze. They were Soslan Daurov (59 kg), Nikolai Stadub and last year's World Cup bronze medalist Javid Gamzatov (both - 85 kg).
        In the team standings Belarus took the 1st place with 82 points, beating leaders of the world wrestling such as Bulgaria (56 points) and Russia (55.5).
