Lukashenko extends Independence Day greetings to Greece

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent Independence Day greetings to the people of Greece, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“For many decades, Minsk and Athens have been building interaction based on Christian values, joint economic benefit, fair principles of international law and interstate cooperation. Despite the absence of common geographical borders, Belarus has always seen Greece as a good European neighbor and partner,”  Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
 
The head of state emphasized that Belarus is ready to resume economic ties and form new contacts in various areas.
 
“We invite you to use the opportunity to visit our country within the visa-free program, take part in a number of exhibitions, sports competitions, and cultural events,” the message of greetings reads.
 
The president wished the people of Greece peace, progress and confidence in the future.
