Belarus, Syria to cooperate in forensic matters

The State Forensic Examination Committee of Belarus hosted a meeting with representatives of the Syrian Ministry of Interior on 19 August. That was the first visit of Syrian experts to the State Forensic Examination Committee, BelTA learned from the press service of the committee. The Syrian delegation was led by Nasser Dib, Director of the Criminal Security Branch. The participants of the meeting confirmed their determination to strengthen constructive and mutually beneficial cooperation in forensic matters and discussed promising areas of cooperation, with a focus on joint events to build professional knowledge. 

The Syrian delegation will stay in Belarus till 23 August. During the visit the Syrian experts will study Belarus’ expertise and knowledge in holding forensic examinations, like examination of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors and analogues, petroleum products, combustibles and lubricants, genetic examination, explosion examination, ballistic examination, and other types of examination.
