Fourth day of European Games in Minsk

It's the fourth day of the European Games in Minsk. On June 24, 14 sets of medals are played out in such forms as sports aerobics, basketball, trampolining, judo, shooting. Preliminary competitions in badminton, boxing, table tennis and archery are also held today.

On the previous day Belarusian athletes won 20 medals. Belarus’ Katsiaryna Halkina clinched the Women’s Hoop silver. Hanna Shvaiba, Karyna Yarmolenka, Anastasiya Rybakova, Arina Tsitsilina and Hanna Haidukevich won two gold medals and one bronze in group events. That day was particularly successful for Belarus’ sambo team. Vera Harelikava clinched gold. Maryna Zharskaya, Andrei Kazusionak and Yury Rybak landed second. Gracing the podium with bronze were Ivan Aniskevich, Stsiapan Papou, Volha Namazava, and Sviatlana Tsimashenka. In the final day of acrobatic events Belarusians won two bronze medals.

Tatsiana Khaladovich (javelin throw), Elvira Herman (100m hurdles), Maksim Nedasekau (high jump) won gold. Krystsina Tsimanouskaya (100m), Nastassia Mironchyk-Ivanova (long jump), and Vitali Parakhonka (110m hurdles) clinched silver.

Belarusians go second in the medal count with 34 medals (10 gold, 9 silver and 15 bronze medals). Russia tops the medal table with 39 medals (19 gold, 10 silver, and 10 bronze medals).
