The National Art Museum of Belarus will launch a large exhibition project dedicated to sport ahead of the Night of Museums (due on 18 May), BelTA learned from Academic Secretary of the museum Svetlana Aneyko. “A sport-themed exhibition is particularly relevant in the run-up to the 2nd European Games Minsk 2019. Its working name is “The Games”. The exposition will occupy the whole first floor of the main building. Five halls will feature a lot of painting, graphics, and sculpture works from holdings of our museum, other Minsk museums, and private collections. The exhibition will be on display till 3 July,” the academic secretary noted.

The National Art Museum will also hold the 17th International Scientific Conference "Aladov’s Readings" timed to the 80th anniversary of the museum on 24 May. “The conference will consist of two sections. The first one will invite participants to study the museum holdings and review the latest research of the Belarusian and world art. The second section will deal with contemporary museum practices: museum pedagogy, interactive programs, exhibition projects, strategies of communication with visitors,”the academic secretary noted.
