Belarus’ Bolshoi theater to bring its ballet Anastasia to Oman in 2020

The National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater of Belarus will show its ballet Anastasia in the Royal Opera House of Oman in 2020, director general of the theater Vladimir Gridyushko announced during an online press conference hosted by BelTA. “Not so long ago we hosted the director of the Royal Opera House of Oman. Just the other day, he sent us an invitation to tour Oman with the ballet Anastasia in early October 2020,” said Vladimir Gridyushko. According to him, the theater goes on tour to traditional destinations and is exploring new ones. The ballet company has embarked on a tour of Germany and Austria. The symphony orchestra will set off on tour around Germany, Austria and Switzerland in December.  Then the orchestra will embark on a month-long tour across 12 European countries. In March-April 2019 the ballet company will travel to Mexico.

Vladimir Gridyushko also announced that the Theater will celebrate the bicentennial anniversary of Stanislaw Moniuszko, one of the founders of the Belarusian national classical opera, in May 2019. The big concert is going to feature pieces from many works by Moniuszko. Talking about the plans fo the next year, he mentioned a premier of famous operetta The Bat by Johann Strauss. Miklos Gabor Kerenyi from Hungary is working on this production.
