Plans are in place to install a monument-bust to People’s Poet of Belarus Yanka Kupala in the Yard of the Cyrillic Alphabet in Pliska, the ancient capital of Bulgaria, reporters learned from the official Twitter account of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.

The agreement was reached during a meeting between Belarus’ Ambassador to Bulgaria Alexander Lukashevich, director of the Yanka Kupala Literary Museum Yelena Lashkevich and Karen Aleksanyan, the founder of the Yard of the Cyrillic Alphabet. The exposition is dedicated to the peoples and literary communities who use the Cyrillic alphabet in their life and work. The place impresses with its atmosphere, stunning historical exposition and calm nobility of the idea.
