New NBRB head eager to secure financial stability


       Securing the financial stability of Belarus is a top-priority task. The statement was made by Pavel Kallaur, who was appointed Chairman of the Board of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus, BelTA reports. According to the new NBRB head, taking further measures to keep up the stability on the currency market and enabling foreign currency exchange procedures were the tasks that have to be accomplished first.
      “It is very important to preserve and build up the resource base for the banks in order to be able to support the real sector of the economy at such a complicated time,” said Pavel Kallaur.
      The official also said he believes that it will be necessary to look for some balancing and compromising solutions in the present conditions.
