Minsk hosts first Belarus-Uzbekistan ministerial consultations on consular affairs

The first Belarus-Uzbekistan ministerial consultations on consular affairs were held at the level of deputy foreign affairs ministers in Minsk on 8 June, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Foreign Affairs Ministry.
 
The Belarusian delegation was headed by Deputy Minister Yevgeny Shestakov, and the Uzbek delegation by Deputy Minister Olimjon Abdullaev. Attending the consultations were also representatives of the Uzbekistan Migration Agency, the Belarusian Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, and the Citizenship and Migration Department of the Belarusian Internal Affairs Ministry.
 
The parties reviewed a wide range of matters related to consular cooperation, labor migration, and the expansion of the bilateral legal framework.
 
The consultations took place in a constructive and friendly atmosphere, once again confirming the close cooperation between Belarus and Uzbekistan in various areas of mutual interest.
