Zimbabwean President Mnangagwa arrives in Brest

Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa arrived in Brest on a working visit. He was welcomed at the airport by Governor of Brest Oblast Piotr Parkhomchik, Assistant to the President - Inspector for Brest Oblast Valery Vakulchik and Brest Mayor Sergei Lobodinsky, BelTA reports.

In Brest Oblast, Emmerson Mnangagwa is set to hold talks and to tour some facilities, in particular the Savushkin Product dairy company.

"Common sense suggests that we should increase cooperation with the countries of the African continent, because they hold the future. This is a region that is developing very rapidly: not only in mining, as is commonly believed, but also in terms of agricultural and industrial development. Of course, it is very important and positive that our country took timely steps to discover this region for itself. We take a very honest approach to cooperation," Valery Vakulchik said.

He emphasized that Brest Oblast was interested in developing relations with Zimbabwe. "It is also interesting for our partners. Brest Oblast has a lot to offer. Certainly, it will be beneficial both for Brest citizens and Zimbabweans," Valery Vakulchik noted.
