The Republic of Belarus and the People’s Republic of China are interested in stepping up the exchange of practices and in expanding cooperation in the sphere of cyber security, BelTA learned from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Belarus Cui Qiming on 13 March. Cui Qiming said that Belarusian and Chinese companies had managed to establish intensive cooperation in the area of cyber and information security. “I am convinced there is a great potential for cooperation in this sphere. As strategic partners Belarus and China intend to step it up,” the ambassador added.

Cui Qiming took part in the fifth international science and practice conference Big Data and Advanced Analytics. The conference was timed to the 55th anniversary of establishment of the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics. The diplomat noted that the forum, during which cyber security matters were being discussed among other things, demonstrated a high level of Belarus in this sphere.
